A Prayer for Youth

Heavenly Father, I pray for the young people of today. May they be filled with a passion for truth, justice, and goodness. I pray for their protection from the pressures and temptations of the world, and that they would find their identity in You. May they grow in wisdom and strength, and may they be leaders who will bring positive change to society. I pray that they would be rooted in Your Word and that they would be examples of love, kindness, and courage to those around them.

1 Timothy 4:12

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” Lord, help our youth to be strong in their faith and lead by example. Amen.

Prayer

Lord, I pray for the youth of today. Strengthen them in their faith and help them to stay true to You despite the challenges they face. May they be examples of love, integrity, and purity to those around them. Protect them from the pressures and temptations of the world, and guide them to make wise decisions. May they grow into leaders who make a positive impact on society. Fill them with courage, wisdom, and passion to pursue the good and bring Your love to the world. Amen.

Thanksgiving for My Marriage (Husband)

Lord, from my whole heart I thank you for having lead me through your sacrament into the married state, sanctified my matrimonial union, and opened the treasures of your grace to me, that I might be able to meet the duties of my state of life, and to persevere in fidelity and love towards my wife, in conjugal purity, and to bring up my children in your Church, and thus to work out my salvation. I thank you for every grace by virtue of this sacrament I have received. I thank you for your protection and assistance, and for all good which you have granted me and mine. Praise be to thee for all eternity!

For all that I have failed to do as a Christian husband, forgive me in your infinite mercy and for the sake of your Son, Jesus. I am firmly resolved that, with your assistance, I will strive harder to fulfil my duties faithfully and conscientiously.

For my wife also I ask you favor and grace. Grant that we, so intimately united by your sacrament, may always be in the love and fear of God, that our married life be, as it should, an image of the intimate union of Christ with his holy Church, and lead us to eternal life. Remember also, O Lord, the children you have given us. Bless and protect them, grant them grace that they may live according to your will. Assist me that I may bring them up entirely for you.

I pray this in the name of Jesus. AMEN.

A Prayer for Families

Lord, I pray for families everywhere. I ask for Your blessings upon marriages, parents, and children. Strengthen the bond of love and unity within families, and may they be places of support, nurturing, and peace. Help parents to raise their children with wisdom and kindness, guiding them in the ways of the Lord. I pray for healing in broken families, and that Your grace and love will restore relationships. May families reflect Your love and be a source of strength and joy.

Ephesians 6:1-4

“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother… Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.” Lord, bless families with harmony and understanding. Amen.

Prayer

Father, I pray for every family. Strengthen the bonds of love between husbands and wives, parents and children. May families be places of refuge, where love, respect, and faith grow. Help parents to nurture their children with wisdom and patience, teaching them Your ways. For those who face challenges, bring healing and restoration to broken relationships. Let Your peace dwell within each home, and may families reflect Your love to the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Power of Scripture Before Bed

The very art of reading and meditating on the Word before we sleep is a quiet defiance against the anxieties that infiltrate our minds. In a world filled with distractions, Scripture anchors us, reminding us that true rest is found in the presence of God, shielding us from the noise of our anxieties with the depth of His love. 

Not all Scriptures are equal when it comes to soothing a troubled heart. Some offer refuge with their words, while others call us to action. Here are Bible verses carefully selected for their specific ability to quiet down anxiety: 

  • Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV): “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” 
  • Isaiah 41:10 (NIV): “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

為青少年屬靈爭戰的代禱詞

(尤其有行為偏差的孩童及青少年)

天父，我到您面前，讚美、祟拜、愛慕您。感謝您派遣您的獨生子耶穌，賜與孩童及青少年生命、寬恕他們的罪，並在你的庭院內，預賜他們一處居所。請您派遣聖神引導他們，在每日的生活中為他們增強力量。天父，請打開他們的眼睛，讓他們能看見您的偉大、尊威和勝利。現在，我們把孩童及青少年放在耶穌基督的十字架下，請您以耶穌基督的寶血覆蓋他們，用基督的光圍繞他們；並以耶穌的名，禁止任何勢力干擾您在他們生命中要完成的工作。請遣善牧，協助他們穿上基督徒的全副武裝，為能抵抗魔鬼的陰謀。協助他們站穩，用真理作帶；束起腰，穿上正義作甲。拿起信德作盾牌，拿著聖神【即天主的話】當利劍(弗六10-17)，以抗衝敗壞的潮流。請教導他們順服您的聖神，保護他們勿以反叛心態作祟而遠離您。
