For those with Terminal Illness

But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and he will stand upon the earth at last.  And after my body has decayed, yet in my body I will see God! I will see him for myself. Yes, I will see him with my own eyes. I am overwhelmed at the thought! – Job 19:25-27

Dear God, help them to navigate their current season of life with strength and gratitude. Give them the courage to accept their current reality. Rid their hearts of any form of bitterness and anger. I pray that they will feel the depth and height of your love for them despite all that they are going through. Fill their hearts with peace and an assurance of spending eternity with you.

Lord calm their nerves and soothe the pains from the cancer, medications and chemotherapy. Wrap your loving arms around them and help them to keep their eyes on Jesus. Dear God, I pray that when it is time for you to call them home to you, it will be pain-free and free of struggles. May they feel a deep sense of peace and gratitude for their lives in that moment as they look to Jesus. May they be surrounded by their loved ones holding them close as you welcome them home to heaven. All of these I pray in Jesus name. Amen!
